The Fallen Family

The leader of the robber gang thinks that YEE’s cousin SHU MAT YI is a princess and kidnaps her. YEE rescues her at night. WAI sees the chance to escape with YEE. He is a gentleman to YI but treats YEE like a servant maid. They meet up with TIN. However, the robbers catch them up, so they have to flee in two pairs. Eventually, WAI and YI are caught again, but TIN and YEE escape. On their way back to the mainland, YEE shows her dominance often. TIN works hard to break the ice between them. WAI somehow escapes and catches up with them. TIN asks the Fong Family for help to rescue YI again. KEUNG, the butler, leads some men to fight off the robbers and save YI. When YEE reveals her royal identity, WAI is very embarrassed. YEE arrives in Luoyang and lives in NGAI SUET’s home temporarily. SHUN knows SUET well and gets YEE’s, who has a crush on TIN, agreement that the Fongs will have priority in dealing with her than other suppliers……

WAI clings to YEE which annoys her. She turns down his invitation and meets TIN instead. WAI thinks that TIN mobs his lover, so he humiliates him. TIN scolds YEE for playing with their love and they turn their backs to each other. SHUN urges SUET to invite YEE to the new weapon test party for the sake of business. Before the testing day, the weapon is stolen. The Fong Family is humiliated in the party. They suspect that the Tong Family has stolen the weapon, but they have no proof. TSUN meets one of the Tongs in a prostitution institute. They first argue and then fight. TSUN kills him by mistake. The Tong Family swears to take revenge. YAN goes to the TONG Family to apologize, but CHI says some bad things against them during the meeting and stirs up the argument again. Luckily, SUET arrives with an official CHIU and he settles the awkward situation. SHUN takes YEE out to visit the countryside. He gets her agreement to sign the contract……

TIN notices that there are many disputes between the Fongs, so he talks to YAN about it. YAN feels helpless in solving those disputes and puts his hope on TIN to keep the family glory. TSUN finds a box of gold in YEE’s bedroom and steals it. He plots it so that TIN gets the blame. TIN has no explanation and demands three days to let him find out the truth. TIN, WAI, YEE and WAH investigate the case and suspect TSUN. When the truth reveals, YEE agrees to drop the charges to respect CHI. However, the Fongs find someone to take the blame and lie to the officials, which annoys TIN. SHUN goes and comforts him. WAI works hard and pleases the factory workers. But the supervisor CHAN dislikes him. YEE tells TIN her feelings and expresses her will to marry him. Meanwhile, YAN appoints TIN to be in charge of the Fong Family. TIN is in a dilemma choosing between love and family.

YAN falls ill. CHI wants to take over the family. TIN has to turn down YEE’s dates in order to concentrate on work, which breaks her heart. CHI buys up all the suppliers of armament in town. YAN is furious about it and argues with him. Meanwhile, YEE’s order has been finished and she prepares to return home. TIN cannot bear to see her going without telling her his feelings, so he rushes to see her off and they get back together. WU PANG is forced to sell his armament factory to CHI, so he kidnaps LAI to threaten CHI. TIN promises to let PANG’s family leave the town safely if he releases LAI. However, when LAI is safe home, CHI sends a hit man to kill PANG and his family. TIN is furious and leaves the Fongs to live in a fishing village with YEE. CHI tries to take over the family when YAN is ill. SHUN persuades YAN to let MAN run the family in order to control CHI.

MAN takes charge of the family. He is arrogant and too aggressive. CHI resists to obey him and argues with him. MAN passes on his anger over YUE and beats her up without realizing that she is already pregnant. FONG CHING dislikes the Fongs when she learns about it. MAN and TSUN have a fight in a prostitution institute. YAN scolds MAN. YAN is very upset to see CHI take the chance to take over the power again. Some pirates are robbing ships around the waterfront. TIN sees them using armament made by the Fongs, so he sends TSUN TAI FU to investigate. FU finds out that CHI and YUE SZ deal with the pirates and tells YAN about it. When YAN interrogates CHI, he ignores him. YAN becomes sicker after that. When TIN drops in for a visit, SHUN invites TIN to run the family again to constrain CHI and he agrees. YAN gets weaker and weaker, so he asks TIN, who worries a lot about his condition, to take good care of the family.

CHING and the SHEUNG KOON family work together to run an armament factory in order to steal business from the Fongs. CHI blames SHUN for losing some business and annoys him. WAH is unpredictable to WAI. To test her out, WAI lies to her saying that he is leaving for home to get married in the village. WAH is unhappy about it. WAI knows her feeling for him and proposes to her. TIN helps him to ask for YAN’s permission and YAN grants it. YAN announces the news to the family. CHI and his wife object to it because of WAI’s background. WAI feels humiliated and wants to call off the marriage. TIN and WAH comfort him and they get married eventually. The barbarians from the west want to invade NIU country and buy armament from the Fongs. TUEN KWAN dashes off to meet YEE. He urges her to see TIN and asks him to terminate the contract between the barbarians and the Fong Family. However, the deal has been closed and TIN cannot interfere anymore.

MAN proposes to split the family, but CHI objects. They force TIN to make a decision. To respect YAN’s dying wish, TIN objects MAN’s idea. WAI is annoyed with his decision and argues with him. CHI pretends to be kind to WAI hoping to get his support in the family. SHUN finds out about CHI’s plot and asks WAI to be an undercover for him. SHUN and YEE are getting closer. Although TIN is heartbroken, he decides to let her go. SHUN feels shame when he learns that TIN has given up YEE for him. SIN is lonely and seduces MAN. He falls for her. When CHI finds out about their adultery, he blackmails him to forge fake money. TIN suspects something is going on between them, so he sends FU to investigate. FU gathers some evidence to prove their illegal deal, but WAI gets hold of it in order to save his life and sends him away. WAI wins CHI’s trust and is promoted to supervisor. TIN and WAH are surprised that FU is missing and WAI gets a promotion……

WAH is mad at WAI and moves to SHUI YING’s place. Later when she is found pregnant, WAI promises that he will not harm the Fong Family, so she forgives him. In order to eliminate SHUN, CHI sends SHUN to Fuzhou. Although TIN objects to CHI’s proposal, SHUN accepts it for another reason. SHUN, WAI and SUET trick CHI and make him hand over the family head role back to TIN. When CHI finds out he has been tricked, he leaves the Fong Family with rage. After their success, SUET forces SHUN to break up with YEE. He has no choice but to agree. Meanwhile, YEE is still in love with TIN. She asks to be back to him and they fall in love again. CHI hates the Fongs. When CHING proposes to fight the Fongs with him, he agrees to it without hesitation.

TIN appoints SHUN to look after the forging factory, so that MAN cannot steal more copper for his fake money business. CHI and CHING supply him with copper and report to the king. When SHUN finds out their plot, he asks TINWAI to help. However, TINWAI is in trouble himself. Meanwhile, many soldiers have the Fong Family surrounded and demand an explanation within three days or have the Fongs all killed. SHUN interrogates MAN and finds out that CHI is his illegal business partner. MAN feels that CHI has betrayed him and goes out secretly to interrogate him. CHI kills him by accident. Meanwhile, YUE has given birth to a boy and goes to pieces when MAN’s death news comes. SHUN remembers that FU has proof to show that CHI is involved in illegal forging of money, so TIN looks for him. However, CHI arrives first and beats FU up badly. When TIN arrives, FU tells him where he hid the evidence and dies. CHI wants to leave the town for safety……

TIN fights off the Chows. CHI asks TIN to take care of TSUN before he dies and he agrees. YUE begs TIN not to expose the evidence, as it will bring death sentence to all the Chows. TIN refuses her request for the sake of the Fongs’ safety. YUE notifies CHING to flee but she insists to stay. She asks WU CHUNG to flee with her nephew CHUNGWAN. YUE feels shame to the Chow Family and commits suicide. CHUNG has no idea that YUE is dead and writes to her for help. SHUN intercepts the letter and sends WAI to kill them. When TIN hears about it, he rushes to stop WAI and let CHUNG and CHUNGWAN go. The Fongs are mad at WAI being too cruel to CHUNGWAN. In order to keep his place in the family, WAI does not tell the truth that SHUN is the master behind the assassination. SHUN trusts him even more and asks for his help to kill TIN, which puzzles him. SHUN sets up a plot to make some Fongs’ guard fight with the Tongs’……

TIN hurries to the Tongs’ house to stop the guards fighting. He explains the situation to the Tongs’ family head. They suspect someone has plotted the argument and decide to investigate. In order to cover up the truth, SHUN orders WAI to kill some witnesses. TIN does not give up pursuing the truth. SHUN asks WAI to kill more innocents. WAI feels guilty and wants to tell TIN the truth, but he cannot. The NIU country has reached settlement with the barbarians. YEE’s king father asks her to go home. YEE invites TIN to go with him. However, he turns her down for the unsolved case. YEE leaves alone sadly. WAI persuades TIN to call off the investigation. TIN has to drop it for it causes too many deaths. YEE’s king father sets her up to marry the barbarians’ prince, but she refuses. TIN arrives and proposes to YEE’s father. He grants his request and she goes to the Fongs’ house with him……

SHUN pretends to agree to marry SUET. In fact, he pushes her down a cliff. The Fongs are shocked with SUET’s death and postpone TIN and YEE’s wedding. A mysterious man destroys some of the Fongs’ armament and harms many worker. TIN suspects that it is related to the pirates and investigates it alone. Meanwhile, the factory is on fire and the pear spears are destroyed completely. SHUN orders WAI to keep the damage secret and not to worry everyone. Apparently, SUET does all these to take revenge of the Fongs. When she fell down the cliff, her face was ruined, but was saved by a tribe’s king. She wants to kill SHUN in person, but he manages to escape. Her appearance bothers him. The barbarians invade the NIU country again. KWAN finds YEE to tell her the truth. When she asks SHUN for the ordered pear spears, he does not know what to do because SUET has already destroyed them.

When TIN comes back and finds out about the fire in the factory, he goes to estimate the damage. SHUN and WAI plus a few subordinates dry and wrap up some damaged pear spears to lie about the loss. SHUN decides to sell YEE the malfunctioning pear spears and intents to kill TIN when he gets found out. WAI does not bear to kill TIN and feels very painful. YEE brings the broken pear spears to fight with the barbarians, which ends up a bad defeat and lots of deaths, including YEE’s father. She and KWAN swear to take their revenge over the Fongs. SHUN plots to kill TIN and he falls for it. When the assassins catch him up, he manages to escape. Meanwhile, WAI arrives to kill him which makes him realize SHUN’s plan. He is completely disappointed with the Fongs and agrees to leave for good. WAI does not want to kill him, so he finds a replacement for TIN and lies to SHUN.

YING and the others are celebrating the Mid-autumn Festival when TIN’s death news arrives. They are all sad for him. SHUN pushes all the blame about the malfunctioning weapons on TIN. In fact, TIN hides in a temple to wait for YEE. YING asks SHUN to be the family head. When he is overwhelmed by joy, YEE appears to take revenge. SHUN puts all blame on TIN. She is torn to learn that TIN is killed. In order to get YEE and the other members’ trust, SHUN agrees to help resurrect YEE’s country. She goes everywhere to contact her troops. When she goes by the fishing village that TIN used to live, she stops for a visit and meets he there. They realize what SHUN has done and ask KEUNG to help them to take revenge. YEE returns to the Fong Family as their insider. WAI is bothered by what he is doing and looks for comfort from YEE, but WAH sees them meeting up.

WAI is angry thinking that YEE has got back to SHUN. WAH notices his love for YEE and is heartbroken. YEE and TIN plan to reveal SHUN’s devil face in front of all friends and relatives on YING’s 50th birthday. SHUN believes that YEE loves him again and agrees to prepare a birthday party for YING. However, TIN is spotted by SHUN’s man which arouses SHUN’s suspicion. He pretends to know nothing. On YING’s birthday, TIN appears and plans to expose SHUN’s wrong doings. However, SHUN has YEE as his hostage and they start a negotiation. WAH hears their conversation, but WAI asks her to hold her anger and pretends to be on SHUN’s side. For YEE’s safety, TIN takes all the blames and leaves. WAI tells him where to find YEE. They and KWAN hide from SHUN’s searching. WAH lets YING know about the real SHUN. YING interrogates him in front of the family. He does not deny it. SHUN has KEUNG killed and takes over the family……

KWAN asks YEE to use WAI to fight against SHUN. WAI loves her and agrees to help her. WAH sees them being close and gets very angry. She falls down a slope and gives birth to her son before she dies. TIN blames WAI and YEE for WAH’s death. YING has a stroke when she learns about WAH’s death. Before she dies, she urges MO and his wife to leave the family, and they do. WAI gets drunk every day. SHUN sees no use in him and abandons him. KWAN gathers his followers and break into the Fongs’ house to kill SHUN. However, they fail and die. YEE swears to kill SHUN even it might claim her life. Meanwhile, WAI appears and seems deranged.

WAI pretends to be crazy to help TIN and YEE. However, SHUN sees through their plot and WAI is killed when he protects YEE. Eventually, she and TIN are saved by SUET, who becomes a tribe’s queen and swears to kill SHUN. With the tribe’s help, SUET takes her revenge. However, she falls for SHUN’s lies again and helps him escape TIN’s chasing. Although he kills SUET, the tribe’s king holds the evidence to prove his wrong doings. He goes bankrupt and loses all followers. TIN and YEE decide to take their revenge over SHUN after their wedding. However, TIN does not want YEE get killed, so he fights with SHUN alone in the factory just before their wedding. Who will survive the fight? Will TIN and YEE get married? The answers lie in this final episode.
