The 2000s: A new era dawns in rap. It's getting tough. Kitty Kat also feels this, signing a contract with the up-and-coming label Aggro Berlin at the beginning of the 2000s, but feeling hidden. She talks about this as she cruises through episode 3 of "Hiphop - Made in Germany" together with Ali Bumaye. They immerse themselves in the spirit of the 2000s with mixtapes by Bushido, Sido, Eko Fresh and Kool Savas. Social hardship is also on the rise: Hartz IV is coming, terrorists fly into the World Trade Center, leading to a wave of anti-Muslim racism.

Berlin loses its supremacy as the rap capital in the 2010s, Frankfurt takes over: The decade is characterized by slang-packed street rap with attitude. It became more real, more raw, more authentic.
