Phelps and Kelly head down to Texas to investigate the disappearances of over 30 young women. Some have gone missing, some have turned up dead, in a flat, steamy wasteland along the I-45 freeway between Houston and Galveston known as The Killing Field. It's paradise for serial killers — time for paradise to get shut down.

In the spring of 1992, a serial killer cut a swathe through the Mid West with six victims across three states, shot execution style. The victims all worked in small stores just blocks from I-70. Phelps and Kelly take a long trek across the Midwest to investigate the unsolved murders on this lonely stretch of highway.

Phelps and Kelly head to Boca Raton, FL, to investigate a series of kidnappings and murders. In March and December 2007 two women were shot dead as they left the same shopping mall. A robbery gone wrong? Or the work of a serial killer?
